eing a rather cold night, we were a small group of ES students who enjoyed a heartfelt, warming evening with Chris and Jenny. However, as someone remarked to us “Where else is there to be on a Saturday night?”
We started with a meditation, and then continued to deepen the connection through toning, with Chris making a few facial adjustments for one or two of us. We continued toning with our eyes closed, to several of the songs from “Fiery Eyes” as well as to the yet-to-be-released songs “Walk With Your Heart” and “Celebration”.
Several times during the toning exercises Chris asked us to put our hands on our hearts to feel the vibration coming from the heart and not from the throat centre. We also stood up several times to move to the music as were rhythmically impulsed.
We then did an exercise with a partner where we continued to tone, taking it in turns to put our hands on our partner’s heart, feeling the vibrations that came from the heart. Once we could feel the vibrations individually, we put our hands on each others heart at the same time and experienced not only the vibration coming from the heart, but a resonance as we toned together.
After a few more songs, Chris took up his “12-string Persian guitar ” (we cannot recall what it was called!) and he and Jenny “treated” us to Persian harmonics which connected some of us back to that era. Then, more harmonics and singing to finish the night.
For us, the whole evening was about experiencing and deepening our connection to the inner heart. From the meditation to the final harmonic expression, all was truly felt from the vibration of the heart centre. At times we all sang like Angels, inspired by Chris to maintain the connection to who we are.
As Greg said (tongue in cheek) “it was a “Happy” (joyous), Harmonic, Harmonious, Heart-felt evening” As someone said when we arrive “Where else would you chose to be?”
